Adhere to Orica's and the customer's Safe Operating Procedures & champion SHE initiatives relating to Technical Solutions and blasting related activities,
Risk Management (Orica's and the Customer's) for processes relevant to the implementation.(2) Project Implementation and Support
Responsible for supporting all stages and aspects of implementation such as blast design and associated processes, equipment installation and training, and Key Performance Indicators tracking and reporting.(3) Customer and Internal Communication
Establishing regular communication schedules to determine use-cases for the blasting technologies, implementation logistics and progress tracking with customers and the relevant internal functions such as the Commercial, Digital Solutions and Marketing teams.What you will bring
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Technologist, (Mining, Civil, Survey, Geology) or similar field.
- Project Management skills.
- Solid communication and presentation skills.
- Solid computer ability is required with experience using Microsoft Office, and familiarity with CAD based software would be considered a strong asset.
- Drill and Blast experience in both surface and underground mining is an asset.
- Blast design experience is a strong asset.
- Well-developed troubleshooting/problem solving and investigative capabilities.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to provide hands-on, on-site customer support is required.
- Demonstrates courage, resilience and flexibility
