Dawson Group is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources (HR) & Health, Safety, & Environment (HSE) Administrator to support both departments equally, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with HR and HSE functions.In this role, you will be a valued member of Dawson Group, working as a full time, temporary (12 months) HR & HSE Administrator, you will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to both the HR and HSE teams. This dual role will require strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a safe, compliant, and employee-focused work environment. Your base location will be Kamloops, British Columbia however, the Dawson Group embraces distributed work, meaning the successful candidate will have the flexibility to work from home and/or at our office.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKEHuman Resources (50%)
  • Take lead on regular and ad hoc HR reporting
  • Maintain employee records and HR databases to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communication.
  • Oversee all employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Manage the HR inbox, responding to inquiries and escalating issues as needed.
Health, Safety, & Environment (50%)
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist with safety training coordination, tracking certifications, and maintaining HSE records.
  • Monitor incident reports and assist in investigations, corrective actions, and follow-ups.
  • Maintain SDS (Safety Data Sheet) records and ensure accessibility.
  • Manage the HSE inbox, responding to inquiries and escalating issues as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Experience in HR and/or HSE administration is an asset.
  • Knowledge of employment standards, health & safety regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, ATS, and HSE management systems is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
