Full time Utility - this is an entry level position in a large lentil/pea processing plant in Vanscoy, Saskatchewan.Duties and Responsibilities
- Training will be provided and the successful candidate will be able to meet expectations within a reasonable period of time
- In order to meet the requirements of this job posting, the applicant will be cross-trained in all operational positions to facilitate operational needs
- To be successful, the candidate will be advancing towards an Operator position over time, as business requires. The expectation being that the successful applicant will be competent when working with machinery, including the ability to safely troubleshoot operational issues
- This position also includes general sanitation duties following established GMP's for our food safety programs
- Adhering to Safety Rules, GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety protocols is crucial
- Duties include but are not limited to material handling and light maintenance
- The successful candidate must possess good communication skills, the ability to follow directions, and most importantly perform various tasks safely and independently in a production environment
- The successful applicant must be able to work from heights, stand, sit, kneel, crawl, and bend
- Needs to be able to work in a variety of hot, cold, or wet conditions
- Shift work, overtime, and weekends will be required
- Basic computer skills, numeracy and record accuracy are also necessary to succeed at this role
- There is room for further advancement in this role
- Work in accordance with local/provincial legislation
- Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements
- All candidates must have authorization and the ability to maintain authorization to legally work in Canada.
- Relocation support is not available for this position.
