SummaryThe Apprentice, Welder II, at Rostel will assist and work alongside the Journeymen Welders in fabricating, manufacturing, and repairing drilling rigs and rig components. They will work on more advanced components and projects to further improve their knowledge and skill set.Responsibilities

Fabricating drilling rig components and equipment to specified drawings while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Fitting and welding of structural components of a drilling rig.
Repair/manufacture of drilling rigs/components.
Operate basic Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux-cored Arc Welding (FCAW), Metal-Cored Arc Welding (MCAW) & Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) techniques using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
Perform basic Weld Joints and Weld Types, Hardfacing, and identify Weld Faults.
Provide a solid understanding of Metal Properties, such as Heat Treatments, Metal Identification, Distortion, and Electricity.
Utilize and apply a basic understanding of Trade Math.
Assist with standard shop housekeeping and upkeep on an ad hoc basis.
