Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?This role is accountable for the governance and oversight of an end-to-end delivery strategy supporting multiple teams across the Cross Capital Markets Product Operations team. This role operates at the critical intersection of business strategy, product delivery, technology enablement, and operational execution. The Director, Platform Enablement ensures that cross-functional delivery teams align to the platform consistently and realize measurable business outcomes, maintain architectural integrity, scale effectively, and enhance franchise value.This role transforms individual platform strategies and initiatives into a unified value narrative, manages cross-platform dependencies, standardizes delivery discipline, and provides executive leadership with transparent, portfolio-level visibility into strategy, performance, and value realization. By orchestrating platforms toward common enterprise objectives and eliminating fragmentation, the role enables the firm’s ability to maximize franchise value and positions RBC businesses for sustained growth and competitive differentiation.Functional ScopeThis role provides portfolio-level strategy, governance, and orchestration for all operational platforms and key strategic initiatives within Cross Capital Markets Product Operations. The Director, Platform Enablement partners closely with the Platform Leads that are accountable for a defined operational platform serving specific business segments and functions: the Lending Services Platform, the Client Lifecycle Management Platform, and the Regulatory Services and Global Transaction Reporting Platform. In addition, this role will lead the delivery of Capital Markets initiatives aligned to any cross RBC US platform strategy.What will you do?Enterprise Platform Portfolio Strategy and GovernanceOwn the holistic portfolio strategy across the Capital Markets Cross Product team, ensuring all individual platform strategies collectively advance enterprise objectives and avoid fragmentation or misalignment.Establish and own platform-level objectives and key results (OKRs), ensuring visibility into progress and alignment across all delivery teams.Partner with Finance, Technology and Business stakeholders to develop a portfolio-level funding model that balances investment across he various businesses based on strategic priority, risk, and expected return.Develop and maintain a rolling multi-quarter platform roadmap that balances near-term operational needs, medium-term capability enhancements, and long-term strategic investments.Recommend capital allocation decisions at the portfolio level, ensuring resources are deployed where they create greatest strategic value.Monitor funding utilization and spending patterns across platforms, identifying efficiency opportunities and cost optimization initiatives.Ensure all platforms have adequate resourcing to execute committed roadmaps and maintain operational stability.Cross-POD Platform OrchestrationEnsure all delivery teams within the platform operate as an integrated system aligned to platform outcomesLead quarterly planning cycles with all aligned PODs, managing resolution of conflicts transparently and ensuring investment decisions are anchored to strategic priorities rather than tactical urgency.Monitor delivery velocity, throughput, and benefit realization at both team and platform levels, identifying execution gaps and driving corrective action.Provide a clear escalation path for technical risks, execution issues, and resource constraints, ensuring they are surfaced and resolved at appropriate levels.Stakeholder Alignment and Enterprise ConnectivityServe as an interface between the platform portfolio and enterprise stakeholders including business leaders, Technology leadership, Risk and Compliance, Finance, and Operations.Present regular updates on platform performance, roadmap progress, investment priorities, risk management, and capital allocation recommendations.Translate enterprise priorities into clear guidance for Platform Leads, ensuring individual platforms remain strategically aligned.Proactively surface portfolio-level risks, dependencies, or opportunities that require executive decision-making.Operational Readiness & Risk ManagementMaintain portfolio-level visibility into risk, compliance, and regulatory obligations across all platforms.Identify systemic control gaps or regulatory challenges that span multiple platforms, ensuring coordinated remediation.Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit to establish consistent control standards and audit frameworks across platforms.Escalate portfolio-level compliance or control concerns to senior leadership and regulatory partners as required.Ensure programs adhere to operational production readiness standards and post-launch performance optimization cycle.Performance Accountability and Value RealizationEstablish processes for regular portfolio assessment, identifying opportunities to rationalize, consolidate, or modernize platforms based on strategic fit and business value.Facilitate cross-platform innovation and learning forums where best practices are shared, and new approaches are piloted.Drive continuous improvement in portfolio performance through metrics, benchmarking, and capability development.Establish clear ownership for value realization, ensuring delivery teams understand the business case and remain focused on outcomes.Track and report on all platform-level OKRs and success metrics, providing transparency into progress and outcomes..What you need to succeed?Required Skills7-10 years’ experienceMinimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience;
