Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Food & Beverage and Kitchen Manager, the Cook performs various tasks related to food preparation. This includes setting up the kitchen, preparing dishes, plating meals, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare ingredients required for meal preparation
  • Set up the workstation in anticipation of different service periods
  • Prepare, cook, and season dishes according to recipes and proper techniques
  • Plate dishes while ensuring presentation standards are met
  • Maintain storage and food preparation areas
  • Apply hygiene and sanitation standards
  • Follow occupational health and safety regulations
  • Communicate clearly, professionally, and courteously with team members
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of private and sensitive work-related information
  • Protect company assets
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor on duty
  • Perform any other tasks required for the smooth operation of the kitchen
REQUIREMENTS
  • Diploma (DEP) in professional cooking from a recognized institution
  • Minimum of two years of kitchen experience, ideally in the hospitality industry
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong customer service abilities
  • Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 15 pounds
