- Performs or assists with engineering, design, and calculations for electrical capital and O&M projects of small to medium scope or on portions of major capital projects.
- Assists with developing or develops, reviews, and updates PFDs, P&IDs, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and construction and operating drawings etc...
- Develops or assists with equipment specifications and performs equipment selection of generators, motors, distribution panels, lighting, automatic transfer switches, outlets, etc...
- Develops, reviews, and updates electrical system and construction/installation standards and specifications
- Performs or assists with formal electrical system and equipment testing and analysis including electrical load studies.
- Develops, oversees, or assists with system and equipment maintenance programs including recommendations for maintenance and post-maintenance evaluation, etc.
- Assists with troubleshooting electrical equipment and makes recommendations for repair or replacement, as required.
- Manages specific capital and maintenance projects of small to medium scope, including financial planning, scheduling, equipment procurement, contractor interfacing, and project documentation.
- Oversees on site construction and equipment installation, start-up, testing, placement into service, and project documentation. Inspects completed and existing installations to observe appropriate operation, ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications, and verify compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Performs the engineering and design for large load meter/regulator (LLMR) projects and other mechanical projects of small to medium scope, including piping/equipment sizing calculations, as needed.
- Develops and delivers project status or engineering concept presentations to various audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- At least 0-2 years of experience in natural gas or related energy sector industry, and/or project engineer role, specializing in electrical engineering.
- “Engineer-in-Training Certificate” preferred.
- A general knowledge of related engineering disciplines and applicable codes and standards including NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, NESC, IEEE.
- A general knowledge of construction practices and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and effective working relationships with business partners.
- Demonstrated ability to logically analyze and solve narrowly defined business problems.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write and present logically and concisely to all levels within an organization.
- Proven ability to use computer software and applications, including Microsoft Office, for data management, research, analysis, and reporting purposes.
