Branksome Hall also runs our Slingshot Innovation Academy that offers programs for students to tackle real-work challenges and build skills for the future.Reporting to the Director, Camps & Slingshot, the Administrative Coordinator, Camps & Slingshot will provide essential administrative support from behind the scenes, to assist in the smooth execution of our camp and Slingshot operations. This role will support our online camp management system and will create, organize, and edit any BHDC and Slingshot documents, registrations, interactions, and schedules. You will execute on a range of administrative tasks that are vital to the success of our camp and Slingshot operations. The hours of this role will adjust for the operational needs related to camps and Slingshot throughout the year.Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:Provide information to inquiring families, and help support the registration process as neededManage the Camps & Slingshot inboxes, answering all questions, provide administrative and registration support to parents/guardiansCoordinate the online management system, including pre-season configurations, FAQ documents, maintenance of reports, and other back-end administrative tasksManage all program and training logistics, including room allocation, facility bookings, lunch schedules, recruitment support, catering, communications, material preparations, etc.Update accurate information on our website and across platforms, ensuring a timely schedule with program launch and promotional eventsCoordinate all program scheduling, including swim, lunch, and playground activitiesSupport the summer camp staff onboarding process and logistics for staff trainingManage all bus transportation operations, including finalization of routes/stops, booking buses, coordination of staff chaperones and all relevant logistics and communicationsDraft and prepare communications related to parent emails, staff updates, information items, etc. and manage all related follow-up correspondenceCoordinate the administrative aspects of the camp volunteer programCoordinate digital attendance, including set-up of lists in Campbrain, access on iPads, late drop-offs and early pick-ups, conduct absence follow-ups and ensure accurate attendance, as well as act as attendance point person during emergency proceduresRun weekly financial reports for statement of accounts, outstanding and credit balances, etc. and conduct required follow upProvide on-site support for Slingshot year-round programs which may include evening and weekend hoursServe as a role model, consistently demonstrating professionalism and positive behaviour to both campers and camp staffCandidate Profile:3+ years’ related work experienceExperience in a camp, educational, or youth related setting is an assetFamiliarity with summer camp programs and camp management software is an assetCurrent Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and build rapport with a range of stakeholdersAbility to interact positively with students, faculty, parents, supervisors and peersStrong oral and written communication and planning skillsWillingness to learn new databases and embrace new technologyAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the camp operationsWhy Join Branksome Hall:Joining Branksome Hall will change your life.
