- This position provides the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays each week, with the requirement to report to the primary NOVA Chemicals work location on Tuesdays through Thursdays. Employees can opt out of the hybrid schedule and will be expected to work Monday-Friday from the primary work location.
- Track regulatory developments focusing on the Canadian Environmental Protection Act (CEPA), 1999 and the US Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) and also covering global regulations.
- Assess compliance of existing and new products and processes opposite the requirements of the laws.
- Respond to requests for information from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC)/US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
- Prepare notifications for new substances when required.
- Monitor ECCC/EPA assessments and advocate where appropriate.
- Participate in relevant Canadian and US Trade Associations.
- Maintain regulatory databases and tracking systems to ensure compliance.
- Provide regulatory support for facilities and the business on chemical control requirements.
- Respond to customer inquiries on regulatory status of products.
- A Minimum of a Master's degree in Chemistry with at least six (6) years of related experience.
- Experience in North American chemical control regulations, with Canada as a minimum, US TSCA preferred.
- Knowledge of international requirements is an asset.
- Excellent project management and communication skills (written and oral).
- Good Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills are necessary, as well as familiarity with SAP.
- Knowledge of PowerBI software would be an asset for managing regulatory data.
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving, troubleshooting, innovation.
- Must work well in a team setting.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently on multiple competing priorities.

- Annual Salary $138,000 - $153,000
- Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience
- Variable Short Term Incentive Program based on personal and corporate performance in accordance with company policies
