Relief Family Medicine PhysicianOur client in PEI is seeking a Family Medicine Physician who will provide relief for short term vacancies (e.g., sick leave, vacation, etc.) in family medicine practices as determined by need within the health system and in collaboration with the relief physician.The Relief Family Medicine Physician will be consulted in advance of scheduling and practice assignment and will be made aware of what on-site resources and staffing are available. This Relief Family Medicine Physician will provide coverage in one of the three counties in the province. If there are no vacancies to fill, there are opportunities to work in Primary Care Access Clinic(s), providing care to the unaffiliated patient population.Family Medicine Physicians in the province of Prince Edward Island are providing full-scope family medicine. They work collaboratively with teams of skilled allied health professionals, with the support of a provincial Electronic Medical Record (EMR).Hours of WorkFull or part-time, regular office hours Monday-Friday up to a maximum of 37.5 hours/week.Evening clinic hours may be available depending upon health system need.RemunerationThe Relief Physician will have a choice of pay modality: salary, contract-for-services or fee for service.Salary Pay ModelHourly Rate: Hourly rate + 31% of approved shadow billings.Hours per week: 37.5 hours/week, 1950 hours/year. *prorated for part-time.Vacation: 4-6 weeks/year depending on experience. *prorated for part-time.Sick: 11.25 hours/month for each continuous month of service.CME: Up to 75 hours per year and $5000 per year (for 0.6FTE or higher).Pension: Yes.Group Insurance Benefits: Yes.Contract for ServicesHourly Rate: Hourly rate + 31% of approved shadow billings.Hours per week: 1725 per year - can be divided by physicians as they like.Vacation: Unpaid - Physician directed.Sick: Unpaid - Physician directed.CME: Funding available through MSPEI.Pension: Not applicable.Group Insurance Benefits: Not applicable.Fee for ServiceHourly Rate: as per the tariffHours per week: Physician directed.Vacation: Unpaid - Physician directed.Sick: Unpaid - Physician directed.CME: Funding available through .Pension: Not applicable.Group Insurance Benefits: Not applicable.Charts and support staff: Responsibility of the physician.Option to provide inpatient care on weekends and holidays as part of family medicine physician call schedule.
