- Lead the sourcing team and guide supplier selection, development, and performance.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to define supplier selection criteria for new product development and existing products.
- Oversee RFQ processes and ensure accurate, timely execution aligned with project timelines.
- Establish long-term supplier relationships through regular engagement, audits, and business reviews.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including single-source dependencies and geopolitical concerns.
- Proactively track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including cost savings, lead times, and supplier performance metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement projects in sourcing processes, systems, and supplier quality.
- Manage international and domestic supplier partnerships, including overseeing contract negotiations and compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
- Mentor and develop sourcing team members to support career growth and succession planning.
- Sustainable growth in SMG's global supply chain by onboarding mutually beneficial new supply partnerships
- Timely processing of RFQs.
- Effective and efficient onboarding of new suppliers to ensure successful integration.
- The sourcing teams in China, India, and Vietnam performs at a high level, remains engaged, and grows in capability under your leadership.
- Sourcing activities remain aligned with broader company objectives.
- Risks are identified early, communicated clearly, and mitigated effectively.
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is required.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems and supply chain analytics.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
- Certifications such as SCMP, CPSM, or equivalent are considered an asset.
- Starting salary of $140,000/year, negotiable based on experience
- Annual bonus up to 15% of salary; 50% based on individual performance and 50% based on Company performance
