Autodesk's Digital Experience Engineering team is looking for an experienced Senior Developer who is passionate about building and delivering innovative solutions into our common platform with us.As part of the Horizontal Services Engineering team, you will implement exciting features that engage and influence Autodesk customers worldwide. Our team faces a variety of unique and interesting challenges, from implementing important services, building new tools and components using new technologies like MCP, Data pipelines, and creating new and engaging end-user experiences, to digging into low-level performance details and streamlining processes.As someone, you have working on teams developing modern cloud-based services, in a fast-paced, agile environment. You should know how to build, guide and teams, while inspiring them to remain at the cutting edge with us. You will report to a Software Development Manager and its a hybrid work mode.ResponsibilitiesYou will design, code, test, debug, document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality and operational needsBuild high quality code following unit testing and test-driven developmentCreate and participate in code, document reviews, mentoring juniors in best practicesCollaborate with architects, DevOps, Support and product organizations on technical issuesInterpret and translate business needs to technical requirements and accurate estimatesEvaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance is achievedWork with team to troubleshoot code level problemsApply deep technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problemsContribute to the design and architecture to allow secure, scalable, and maintainable softwareMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience5–8 years of professional software development experienceStrong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Node.js, or Python, along with experience in front-end development using React.jsHands-on experience with public cloud platforms, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS)Solid understanding of RESTful API design and implementationExperience working with both SQL and NoSQL databasesFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologiesStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisionsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with data pipeline architectures and streaming technologies such as Kafka, Flink, and Spark is a strong plusStrong understanding of data transformation techniques and performance tuning for scalable systems is highly desired#LI-AK1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $107,000 and $157,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
