Principal Responsibilities:The Regional General Manager (RGM) will be accountable for overseeing business operations for assigned branches, including working in a matrix organization with the key branch level managers to deliver results while ensuring consistency with the Velocity model of branch structure and management routines, including obtaining and maintaining DTNA Elite Certification and COR certification for all assigned branches.The Regional General Manager will…
  • Work with the branch management teams and lead business development and ongoing customer relations with key business partners in each branch’s area of responsibility supporting the local Sales, Parts, and Service teams in growing the customer base.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators including revenue, profitability, customer satisfaction, and efficiency metrics for each line of business (Sales, Parts, and Service) for each assigned branch and will support departmental managers in achieving performance targets and operational goals.
  • Supporting the branches in their journey to DTNA Elite Support Certification. Once certified, ensuring appropriate training & measures are in place to maintain certification and in turn, ensure optimal customer experience.
  • Ensure that ongoing customer relations and long-term business partnerships are focal points when supporting cross-functional collaboration and decision-making, in particular where lines of business (ex. Sales, Parts, Service) may have competing interests by ensuring that the best decision for the company as a whole is taken.
  • Work collaboratively as a member of the Canadian Leadership Team (CLT). Make appropriate strategic decisions and ensure their execution within the assigned branches.
  • Ensure compliance at each assigned branch with all corporate policies (including Finance, HR, and Safety), OEM standards, and regulatory requirements through leading by example during regular branch visits to promote a positive workplace culture, ensure accountability, and achieve operational excellence.
  • Direct branch marketing strategies, brand awareness, and community support initiatives within the region.
  • Work with the leadership teams at each branch to support staffing and workforce planning efforts including recruitment, training, and succession planning.
  • Assist with the identification, establishment and implementation of operational best practice policies and procedures; promotes lean principles, effects continual improvements in operational methods, equipment, service procedures and work conditions across all assigned branches while promoting integrated operational processes throughout Velocity Truck Centres Canada towards a common operational structure.
  • Lead, manage and influence infrastructure maintenance items and capital expenditures for the facilities including working with third party providers and suppliers. Participate as a local representative on building construction for new branches or branch modifications.
  • Foster team spirit and build high-functioning local teams. Work with cross-functional teams within Velocity Truck Centres to create development plans for direct reports and ensure processes are cascaded down throughout the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in a dealership, transportation, or industrial services environment.
  • Strong operational knowledge across sales, service, and parts departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-branch or multi-department operations in a matrix organizational structure.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to champion change to develop efficiencies and enhance customer service.
  • Proven track record of managing budgets, KPIs, and achieving business targets and using analytical skills to evaluate data and make operational decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dealership management systems (e.g., Procede / Excede, CDK, Karmak, or similar).
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 1 or OEM experience is an asset).
  • Willingness to travel regularly to support assigned locations.
