With a passion for quantitative analysis, you’ll develop metrics for monitoring the engagement process performance and implement enhancements to optimize outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.As an Integrated Resource Planning Engagement Specialist, you’ll analyze data related to engagement efforts, make data-driven decisions, and use insights to inform engagement strategies. With your strategic thinking mindset, you’ll align stakeholder and Indigenous engagement efforts with long-term resource planning goals and objectives in step with the broader context of long-term resource plans.

  • Develop relationships with critical business units to understand how the departments operate and explore opportunities to optimize their time and effort in resource planning.
  • Collaborate with the external consultant responsible for the Long-Term Resource Plans (LTRPs), Stakeholder and Community Engagement Plan, and the Community and Indigenous Relations team to organize and enhance the engagement sessions.
  • Utilize dashboards, reports, and data to track, review, and analyze the stakeholders’ and Indigenous communities’ feedback and use results to provide strategic input to Long-Term Resource Plans.
  • Support working groups with their participation in the LTRPs and ensure consistency with other applications and studies.
  • Continue to contribute to developing, preparing, and submitting the LTRPs.
What it takes:
  • A degree in public relations, marketing communications, policy, business, environmental studies or engineering, or a related resource development field.
  • A minimum of three years of related experience.
  • Experience with the energy industry in the Pacific Northwest is an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills to effectively understand stakeholder needs, assess engagement strategies, assess policy, and drive meaningful interactions.
  • Excellent skills in listening, adaptability, and facilitation to engage with communities and use data-driven information to guide your interactions.
