Maintenance/Facilities Mechanic

- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, HVAC, plumbing and lighting.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions by repairing or replacing defective parts or components.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems such as cleaning, lubricating and other routine maintenance work.
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Experience as a Facility or Equipment Maintenance Technician or similar.
- Exceptional mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Proficiency in operating a variety of hand and power tools and man lifts.
- Understanding of basic electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Energetic and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team of four maintenance personnel.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Understand health and safety requirements and work within Provincial, Federal and Corporate policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Computer skills (PM programs, email, excel and Google Suite)
