Serving high-rise residential, commercial, and institutional clients, we support both new-build and retrofit initiatives with a commitment to quality and reliability. As our Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting operational excellence within our fast-paced environment.Key responsibilities include:
  • Manage daily accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) transactions
  • Prepare, review, and reconcile purchase orders and vendor/customer invoices
  • Track and maintain accurate inventory and cost records
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and reporting processes
  • Assist with financial analysis and reporting for projects and operations
  • Collaborate with project management, procurement, and sales teams to ensure financial accuracy
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
  • Assist with implementation and ongoing optimization of a new ERP system and related accounting software
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the finance team
RequirementsRequired Qualifications:
  • 2–4 years of bookkeeping or junior accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase order processing, and invoice reconciliation
  • Experience supporting month-end close and basic financial reporting
  • Proficiency using accounting software in a professional setting, including QuickBooks Online
  • Experience using an ERP system for accounting workflows
  • Prior hands-on experience with construction progress billing
  • Experience in construction, building materials, or trade-related industries
  • Experience communicating directly with customers and vendors regarding invoices, collections, and payment issues
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business administration
  • CPB (Certified Professional Bookkeeper) designation
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics ERP
  • Compensation expectations within $50,000–$65,000/year base salary
