Summary:We are looking to fill the position of Snowboard Instructor, CASI Level 3 & 4 at Fernie Alpine Resort reporting to the Winter Sports School Directors. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching in Canada and be an excellent communicator and team player.   • To ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
  • To assist and upsell guests at every opportunity
  • Ensure public and personal safety on lifts
  • Offer the highest degree of guest service
  • Instruct and coach guests of all ages and abilities to ski within instructors' certification level, group lessons to privates, adults and children
  • Complete lesson ability reports & relevant administration forms as required
  • Knowledge and adherence to the Alpine Responsibility Code
  • Participating in the creation of school group itinerary plans and organization
  • General on hill tasks and maintenance as required
  • Acting as ambassadors and hosts at various functions for the resort on and off the hill
  • Know and abide by all RCR Policy & Protocol and Safety Management Program
You Have:
  • Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors required, Levels 3 or 4.
  • Dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic, professional and strong customer service skills.
  • Ski industry experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills, working in a team environment.
  • Physical fitness. This is an asset as the role is physically demanding, and all applicants must be capable of performing the job duties listed above in an outdoor mountain environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive wage: $25.00-$27.00/hour, dependent on experience
