Our client delivers high-quality mechanical systems across commercial, institutional, and industrial projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping for complex buildings.
This role is ideal for a hands-on field leader who can drive execution on-site, ensure quality, and keep projects on track.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily on-site mechanical construction activities (HVAC, plumbing, piping)
- Supervise foremen, trades, and subcontractors
- Ensure work is completed per drawings, specs, and codes
- Monitor schedule, manpower, and site productivity
- Identify and resolve field issues and coordination challenges
- Maintain site safety standards and conduct regular inspections
- Coordinate with Project Managers and attend site meetings
- Oversee material deliveries, site logistics, and equipment usage
- Maintain basic site documentation and progress reporting
- Support commissioning and project close-out
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction (Superintendent or Foreman level)
- Proven experience leading projects through all stages of construction - from pre-construction planning to execution and close-out
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems
- Proven experience leading crews on commercial / ICI projects
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding of construction sequencing and site coordination
- Valid safety certifications (CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, etc.)
- Red Seal certification is an asset
