- Strategically develop, implement, and maintain a robust information security strategy, ensuring it aligns with industry best practices and organizational objectives.
- Regularly assess and adapt the strategy to respond to new threats and technological changes, ensuring continuous improvement of security posture.
- Provide dynamic leadership to the information security team, fostering an environment of growth, learning, and operational excellence.
- Manage all aspects of the team's operations, including recruitment, training, performance management, and team-building activities.
- Draft, implement, and enforce comprehensive security policies, standards, and guidelines across the organization.
- Oversee compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations related to information security.
- Lead risk assessment processes, identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain an efficient incident response plan, coordinating quick and effective actions in the event of a security breach.
- Supervise the selection, implementation, and maintenance of security technologies and infrastructure.
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats and technologies, recommending enhancements to the organization's security architecture.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external security vendors, ensuring access to cutting-edge solutions and services.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executive management, to align security initiatives with broader business objectives.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in information security, with a focus on strategy, policy development, and team management.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with a preference for advanced degrees or specialized training.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
