- Serve as a frontline worker to provide direct, inclusive support to children within childcare and community settings.
- Follow program updates and guidance from the Manager of Childcare Services or ASCD Worker to ensure service delivery aligns with approved care plans and program standards.
- Work collaboratively with childcare providers, ASCD Workers, and multidisciplinary professionals to support coordinated service delivery.
- Support the implementation of individualized care plans under the guidance of the Manager of Childcare Services or ASCD Worker.
- Assist families by providing information, resources, and encouragement to support informed decision-making.
- Participate in Early Development Planning meetings and team discussions to provide updates on child progress.
- Assist in facilitating referrals and connecting families to appropriate community services, as directed.
- Support daily program activities and inclusive practices within childcare settings.
- Assist in implementing identified levels of support and facilitate referrals as directed.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential information and documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements, including case notes and required program records.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
- Must have a Completion of Responsible Adult Certification and Childcare First Aid certificate.
- Work experience in inclusive childcare, including experience with community-based, multidisciplinary services, is an asset.
- Willing to obtain Early Childhood Educator (ECE) or Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA) certification.
- Knowledge of community childcare resources and other community support services is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to use a cultural safety framework when working with Aboriginal children, families, and communities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint is an asset.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as an integral member of various teams.
- Previous experience living or working with First Nations communities is preferred.
- Must be able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector.
