We're seeking someone to join our Enterprise Application Content Solutions Development and Engineering team as a DevOps Specialist. We are responsible for the assessments, design, deployment, implementation, and management of an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) product, Alfresco.In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. Read on…What you’ll do in the role:Design, develop and test Content Management Solutions, including creating design documents, presenting design solutions, participating design discussions, develop and test solutions.Create and implement customized tools, modules, components as required for system integration.Document system configurations, standards, and operational procedures.Deploy, and support the on premise and private cloud infrastructures.Troubleshoot any integration / onboarding issues and arrive at a problem resolution.Provide production support including on-call support (~5 weeks rotation).Work with vendor engineering support team for escalations and new productions implementation.Review existing workflows and processes and make recommendations for continuous improvement.What you’ll bring to the role:Minimum 6 years of experience in Software Engineering, Application Development, or Dev/Ops, with at least 3 years of development with Python and some knowledge of Java.Minimum 3 years of experience with Tomcat application servers, and web application hosted on Apache web servers.Minimum 3 years of experience with Linux system on troubleshooting, Linux shell scripting and automation.Minimum 3 years of experience with at least one relational database (preferable Microsoft SQL server), and proficient with SQL queries.You might also have:Good understanding of Networking and hands-on experience with Load Balancing technologies.Good knowledge on application security (digital certificates, authentication, authorization), experience with one or more authentication mechanisms such as Kerberos, Mutual SSL, OAuth/OIDC, SAML.Experience in build tools, such as Maven, Gradle.Experience with containerizationExperience in Jenkins, Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines.Experience with agile methodologies, scrum, sprints and working knowledge in Jira.Experience with AnsibleExperience with Message QueueAt Morgan Stanley Montreal, we support the Firm’s global businesses and infrastructure with cutting edge technology and innovation.
