
Fashion Designer

- Translate vision and emerging trends into the assigned product lines based on concept direction;
- Maximize sales and gross profits, minimize shuffles and unplanned markdowns (with Product Manager);
- Create and coordinate multiple pieces that aim to satisfy our clientele and corresponds to our brand image;
- Work with technical designers, patternmakers, and fit technicians to ensure our clothing corresponds to our specifics;
- Build a relationship with the Buying team that fosters development of innovative, relevant and fashion-forward designs;
- Build a relationship with the Production team that takes into consideration manufacturing limitations, yet pushes our expectations of quality, lead time and price value;
- Research and develop new fabrics, washes, trims and finishes that are within our cost constraints and elevate the brand
- Adhere to design calendar;
- Shop international and domestic market for seasonal research.
- DEC or Bachelor Degree in Fashion Design;
- Minimum 7 years experience design experience;
- Detailed oriented, self-motivated;
- Good Microsoft office (Excel, Outlook, Word) skills;
- Strong color sense;
- Excellent knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop;
- Bilingual (English and French);
- Sound judgement and a good understanding of trends and the fashion apparel industry.
