Visit us today and check out to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityReporting to the Health Services Manager and working in collaboration with the care team, the Board Certified Behaviour Analyst initiates and coordinates the initial behavioural assessment of referred patients, conducts functional behavioural assessment/analyses, develops behavioural treatment plans, and provides education on behavioural interventions to caregivers and other health professionals. The Board Certified Behaviour Analyst will work with persons with complex clinical presentations (e.g. a dual diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disability and significant psychiatric / behavioural problem) in a variety of settings.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Board Certification in Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) (Master's degree in psychology or other field related to behaviour therapy as approved by the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board)
- Minimum one year employment experience successfully applying: behavioural assessment/analysis; positive behavioural support plans/behavioural interventions; and staff/caregiver education required
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and complex medical needs and behavioural challenges
- Completion of supervised practical training in behavioural analysis as required for certification (Board Certified Behaviour Analyst)
- Completion of graduate level university courses in clinical assessment/evaluation, clinical interviewing and clinical intervention, clinical or applied ethics, principle of learning, motivation, and behaviour analysis as required for certification; additional courses in adult psychopathology, human neuropsychology, cognitive neuroscience, family system are preferred
- Experience with Consultation for Adults with Neurodevelopmental Disorders preferred
- Training or experience with positive behavioural supports and education are assets
- Completion of courses in advanced non-violent crisis intervention training and suicide / violent risk assessment required, or willingness to complete same.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
