The Opportunity:Our client, a leading services organization, is seeking a General Manager, to lead and scale a recently acquired Plumbing & HVAC business in the Greater Vancouver area.This is a true build, stabilize, and grow mandate.The business has strong fundamentals but is currently operating in a highly decentralized and informal way. The successful candidate will step in to professionalize operations, bring structure and accountability, and position the business for its next phase of growth which may including geographic expansion and the development of a contractor network.This is not a role for someone looking to maintain, it's for someone who wants to roll up their sleeves, take ownership of a P&L, and build something meaningful.What You'll Be Doing:
  • Taking full ownership of the P&L, driving both performance and profitability
  • Stabilizing and professionalizing operations, introducing structure, process, and accountability
  • Leading a team across field operations, office support, and contractor networks
  • Building a high-performance, engaged culture while navigating change and transformation
  • Partnering with leadership to integrate the business into a larger platform (systems, processes, brand)
  • Identifying and executing on growth opportunities, including geographic expansion and contractor partnerships
  • Improving operational efficiency, reporting, and financial discipline across the business
  • Enhancing customer experience and service delivery standards
  • Working cross-functionally with sales and other internal teams to ensure alignment and performance
What You'll Need to Be Successful:
  • Proven experience owning or contributing to a P&L in a service-based or operational business
  • Background in trades, construction, field services, or a related environment (HVAC, plumbing, restoration, etc.)
  • A hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves leadership style, comfortable in the field and in the details
  • Strong ability to bring structure to informal owner led environments
  • Track record of building, coaching, and developing teams
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to balance growth and operational discipline
  • High level of coachability, drive, and ambition
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence across functions
Compensation Expectations: Base salary: $140,000 - $150,000 + 20-30% bonus
