Hours: M-F - 7:00am -3:30pm

The Shop Foreman oversees the day-to-day operations of the shop and its team, ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality work environment.
This role involves coordinating tasks, maintaining equipment, supporting employee development, managing workflow, and troubleshooting operational or technical challenges.Responsibilities:Lead and supervise shop staff by assigning duties, tracking performance, offering guidance, and completing performance reviews.
Maintain employee schedules and monitor attendance.
Ensure production goals and quality standards are consistently achieved while promoting cost efficiency.
Coordinate maintenance and repairs of shop equipment, ensuring preventative maintenance programs are properly executed.
Develop and assign daily task lists for warehouse personnel.
Uphold safety standards and enforce company policies to support a secure and productive workplace.
Identify and resolve operational and technical issues in a timely manner.
Train new hires, mentor team members, and ensure staff remain informed on updated procedures and policies.
Monitor inventory levels, order materials as needed, and control operational expenses.Skills & Qualifications:Leadership & Communication: Strong ability to guide teams, communicate expectations clearly, and foster collaboration.
Technical Expertise: Plasma cutter experience/Operational experience in steel. Solid knowledge of shop operations, machinery, and processes within the steel plate industry.
Organization & Problem-Solving: Excellent planning and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, track progress, and address issues with attention to detail.
