In this role, you review and interpret technical service reports and repair documentation, audit work orders for accuracy, and ensure warranty claims are submitted correctly and on time. You collaborate closely with service teams, manufacturers, and suppliers to manage warranty claims from submission through resolution, helping maximize recovery while maintaining efficient and effective warranty processes. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work, problem solving, and working with technical information in a structured and collaborative environment.You are accountable for preparing and submitting warranty claims to manufacturers and suppliers, auditing work orders to ensure qualifying charges are correctly applied to the appropriate warranty or policy accounts and returning non qualifying warranty or policy charges to the submitting branch for correction or follow up.Earning potential of $75,000-85,000+ which includes salary and annual incentive bonusJob Description:Major Job Functions:Review Finning, Caterpillar, and Non-Caterpillar warranty coverage’sIdentify warranty registration discrepancies and notify the appropriate personnelReview and audit Caterpillar and Non-Caterpillar warranty claim submissionsCreate and submit warranty and goodwill claimsLiaison with manufacture/supplier, warranty, and service personnel on all aspects of warranty, goodwill, and parts marketing programsProvide warranty and goodwill/policy coaching to branch service personnel on an as needed basisProvide a consultation service for Finning branches seeking advice about warranty or goodwillPioneer new claiming procedures as new situations dictateEducation and ExperiencePost secondary education in a technical, mechanical, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of 5+ years of experience working in a warranty or service-related environmentPrevious warranty experience with a strong understanding of technical failure analysisStrong mechanical aptitude with solid machine and product knowledgeWorking knowledge of warranty processes, failure analysis, and claim submissionExperience with Finning and CAT warranty systems, exchange parts systems, Service department procedures, and Scheduled Oil Sampling systems is preferredConfident working in a fast-paced environment while managing high work volumesStrong written and verbal communication skillsWell-developed organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to accurately work with numerical data, including cost calculations, rate analysis, and financial splitsProficient with Microsoft Office applicationsAt Finning, we prioritize creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
