Job Description:We're seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a long-term contract in Calgary, Alberta. This role supports a major system transformation, consolidating multiple payroll platforms into Dayforce. You'll work cross-functionally to ensure accurate data migration, compliance with Canadian payroll regulations, and successful system implementation.Key Responsibilities:

Migrate payroll data from legacy systems into Dayforce, ensuring accuracy
Validate payroll calculations (earnings, deductions, taxes, retro)
Collaborate with HR, finance, IT, and payroll teams on system requirements
Support testing phases, including UAT, and resolve defects
Prepare YTD data and assist with parallel payroll runs
Investigate and resolve payroll variances
Partner with external consultants on implementation
Support go-live readiness, including training and process validation
Configure payroll systems using best practices
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including senior leadership

Requirements:Requirements:

Payroll experience, including system implementations and knowledge of Canadian regulations
Familiarity with Dayforce (configuration, data migration)
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
UAT experience and defect resolution
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to analyze and validate payroll calculations
Experience with HCM systems and system implementations
Background in transformation projects or platform integrations
