- Assist in analyzing new and/or modified system or structure designs to assess technical engineering impacts. Review the associated technical documents such as test plans, test procedures, analysis reports and test reports.
- Help resolve electromagnetic engineering-related issues to support EMC certification and sustaining activities including production line and in-service support.
- Under the guidance of senior EMC team members, execute tasks related to EMI, HIRF, LIRF, Lightning and Electrostatics including documenting analyses, similarity assessments, and/or simulation.
- Support verification of aircraft and system level for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI)/High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF)/Lightning Strike/ Electrostatic Discharge technical requirements.
- Adhere to scope of work for EMC effort of technical projects including the time required. Execute tasks according to priorities.
- Assist in updating engineering documentation of aircraft, system, and structure level technical requirements.
- Assist in executing EMC tasks to support collaborative R&D teams.
- Support EMC tests in Canada, United States and Europe as needed.
- Prepare aircraft level EMI, HIRF, LIRF, Lightning and Electrostatic Discharge test procedures and test reports.
- Prepare documentation in support of senior members of the team to demonstrate compliance with certification regulations.
- You hold a Technical diploma/degree in Physics, Electrical Technology or in Sciences or related field.
- You have a minimum of 2 years of related experience that may include work and/or academic experience. Experience in/knowledge of Electromagnetic Combability is an asset.
- You have some working experience with systems or structures EMC qualification/certification. Aerospace experience preferred.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards (RTCA/DO-160, SAE ARPs) and Regulations pertaining to EMI, HIRF, LIRF, Lightning, and Electrostatics is an asset.
- You are comfortable working in a team, and can interact with other functional areas, including manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines to achieve common goals.
- You have good oral and technical writing skills. French is an asset.
