Position Title: Production Operators, Portage la PrairiePosition Type: Regular - Full-Time Requisition ID: 41734About the role.In every role, McCainers are ambitious, curious, and interested in helping each other create good work experiences. We think about the customer and make doing business with McCain easy.We are currently seeking general Production Operators in our Portage la Prairie, MB plant. These are 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule that include both days and nights.Duties/Responsibilities:

Follow good manufacturing practices
Assist in driving continuous improvement in the production facility
Measure and report equipment settings
Cleaning and inspection line checklists
Meet or exceed required sanitation standard for work area: including scraping scales, sweeping floor, emptying damaged bags of product to waste barrels
Operate equipment in a manner to produce high quality products and report any equipment problems to supervision
Ensure timely, accurate records are maintained
Check and record information and input into computer
Clean-up/shut down duties: including deep cleaning on specific lines, sweeping, air hosing, chemical use, high pressure hosing
Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

Requirements:

Push/pull such as rolls of poly, high pressure hoses, garbage containers, vacuum, pallets and cases
Lifting weight approximately 25 – 44 lbs., up to heights of 6 ft.
Stair/ladder climbing as required
Bending, crouching
Standing for extended periods
Continuous walking
Being able to work a rotating schedule including days and nights on a 12-hour schedule.
