On behalf of Seabridge Gold Inc., Bedrock-Service is seeking a full-time Geomatics Specialist to support the Kerr-Sulphuret-Mitchell (KSM) project.Founded in 1999, Seabridge Gold holds a 100% interest in several world‑class North American gold projects. Learn more atLocation:This Role is site-based at KSM Mine, Hwy 37, BC. Camp accommodations and transportation to the site are provided by Seabridge Gold from Terrace, BC. This position operates on a 14x14 day rotational schedule.Position Overview:The Geomatics Specialist is responsible for leading the Survey, CAD and Geomatics Services for the KSM project. The role includes Quality Assurance survey of construction activities, material movement tracking, review of earthwork designs, design volume estimates, as-built volume calculations and preparation of volume and as-built reports. The role is also required to manage subcontracted survey roles as required. The position works closely with internal teams, including Project Controls, Engineering and Construction.Key Responsibilities:This role will manage, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
  • Gathering, processing and analyzing survey data.
  • Review and analysis of design drawings.
  • Quality Assurance of contractor survey data and associated volume and as-built drawings.
  • Track and report stockpile volumes and prepare material movement reports.
  • Track and report final in-place volumes, and prepare as-built reports.
  • Manage and supervise seconded seasonal surveyors to the owner's team.
  • Interface with contractor survey support and contractor crews.
  • Actively support and ensure the safety of the workplace and construction site.
Education, Skills and ExperienceThe successful candidate will bring a proven track record of technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration, supported by the following qualifications and experience:
  • Diploma or degree in Survey Technology, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or similar.
  • Excellent computer skills, experience with AutoCAD Civil3D, Trimble Business Center, Pix 4D or similar drone processing software would be an asset.
  • Experience with RTK GPS and total station procedures for layout, as-built, and control establishment.
  • Knowledge of UAV operations and subsequent processing, Transport Canada Advanced RPAS licence preferred.
  • Proven experience with civil earthworks and remote field work in mountainous terrain.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • High standards of professional and ethical conduct.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience working in cross-cultural environments and on large-scale mining or infrastructure operations.
