It collaborates with teams globally to create clear, accessible, and inclusive training programs for all learners.Job DescriptionThe 3D Learning Experience Designer position combines instructional design knowledge with 3D animation and design. This individual will play a crucial role in developing high-quality video security camera installation videos for our Avigilon and Pelco brands. The ideal candidate will be adept at transforming complex technical information into clear, engaging, and visually compelling instructional content.This role is ideal for a creative learning professional who enjoys working with interactive content and is strongly interested in leveraging emerging technologies to create immersive installation videos that support our learners.Key Responsibilities:Design immersive, visually engaging online training videos that explain technical concepts, product features, and device installation processesDevelop realistic and accurate 3D simulations of installation processes, demonstrating proper techniques and potential challengesProduce professional instructional videos by editing and assembling video footage, animations, and graphics using Adobe Premiere ProUtilize Adobe After Effects to design and implement motion graphics, visual effects, and dynamic text overlays, enhancing video clarity and engagementApply instructional design methodologies to ensure learning effectiveness and alignment with business needsCollaborate closely with subject matter experts, technical documentation, and engineers to ensure the technical accuracy and instructional effectiveness of all video contentManage video assets and project files, and ensure consistent branding across all deliverablesTaking ownership of projects from inception to completion through self-directed project managementIterate on video content based on feedback from internal stakeholdersIntegrate generative AI tools (e.g., Google Gemini, ChatGPT, NotebookLM, Adobe Firefly and more) into learning design processes to accelerate development timelines and scale content creationContinuously hone and enhance skills with every project undertaken, actively participating in a dynamic cycle of ongoing improvement and developmentThis position reports to the Team Lead, 3D Learning Experience Designer.Qualifications:Associate's OR Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred3+ years of professional experience in 3D animation, modelling, and video editing, preferably within an instructional or technical content development environmentProficiency in 3D Animation & Modeling Software: Demonstrated expertise in Blender for 3D modelling, rigging, animation, and renderingExperience with 3D software: Blender, Maya, SolidWorks, 3DS Max, Rhinoceros 3D, or similarVideo Editing & Motion Graphics Expertise: Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing and Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and visual effectsStrong understanding of video production workflows, including pre-production, production, and post-productionExcellent visual storytelling abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracyAbility to translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable visual demonstrationsStrong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environmentExcellent written communication skills with the ability to write scripts for instructional videosA portfolio or reel is required to demonstrate relevant 3D animation, modelling, and video editing workDemonstrated interest in AI and experience using generative AI tools in content development or deliveryCreative and analytical mindset to address training challenges and adapt to rapidly evolving technologiesExperience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional learning environment preferredTarget Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 CADConsistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
