The Havelock Plant is a well-established operation in the Maritimes, with longstanding commitments to the community and environmental stewardship. This is a temporary position, with an expected term from April to December.ResponsibilitiesComply with all safety rules and standard safety practicesPerform manual bagging and repetitive heavy lifting of bags onto pallets.Operating heavy equipment such as; truck, loader, skid steer, fork lift, etc.Assist in various manual labour tasks around the plant as needed such as housekeeping, greasing, bagging, etc.Work in various environments, including weather variations and exposure to fine lime/limestone dust (personal protective equipment is supplied by Graymont)QualificationsClass 1 Driver’s License is a strong assetOver 18 years of ageMinimum Grade 12 educationMechanical experience an asset, must be able to pass aptitude testPhysically fit and ability to work shiftsMechanical experience an asset, must be able to pass aptitude testExperience working in industrial environments preferredSelf-motivated, goal oriented, and excellent communication skillsBe able to think on your feet and troubleshoot/problem solveStrong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving abilityAbility to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategyWho We AreFounded in 1948, Graymont is a trusted global leader in essential calcium-based solutions.
