The Dedicated Advice Channel provides superior financial planning, advice, and well-being for mass affluent Canadians. In this role you will be part of the IG Wealth Management. Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Channel, the Area Leader, Corporate Channel leads a team of Advisors who provide financial planning advice, that includes investments, mortgages, banking and insurance, and outstanding client servicing to a segment of mass affluent clients in their assigned market area with a balance of 85% focus on servicing existing clients and 15% on growing the client base. The Area Leader is responsible for long-term growth, advisor productivity, and overall business results.Responsibilities:Talent Acquisition
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit and onboard high performing advisors focused on client
- Effectively train, coach and mentor Advisors to successfully service and grow client relationships.
- Conduct regular individual coaching sessions with team members, fostering open communications, continuous support, learning and career progression
- Support advisors in client meetings as required
- Responsible for the annual corporate performance management cycle for Advisor including setting objectives, development plans and performance reviews
- Maximize efficiency and enhance service levels through the use and adoption of all of IGWM's digital tools by advisors
- Utilize available reporting and analysis to support advisors in the identification of future business opportunities
- Organize and lead advisors to achieve key goals and objectives considering both business strategy and the achievement of successful client outcomes
- Identify opportunities for business and process improvements and implement changes as developed by the leadership team
- Lead a team of advisors who provide the highest quality service to clients and consistently exceed client expectations.
- Create and maintain a culture of compliance and risk management through ensuring procedural, regulatory, and division policies are followed
- Demonstrate a strong awareness of respectful workplace policies, ensuring an inclusive professional environment and promoting/creating a culture of diversity
- 7-10 years of experience in the financial services industry
- 5+ years of experience in people leadership
- Post secondary degree in business or a relevant field
- IFIC Mutual Fund or Canadian Securities Course or Insurance equivalent preferred
- Financial Services Designations preferred (CFP, CLU, CFA, CA, CMA etc.)
- Comprehensive mutual fund, mortgage and/or insurance industry experience
- Performance-driven high achiever with strong sales management, performance coaching and financial planning excellence
- Proficiency in the use of digital tools including Microsoft Office, Advisor Portal (Salesforce) and Living Plan Portal (Conquest financial planning software)
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
