
Reliability Engineer

- Conduct reliability analysis and testing.
- Develop and implement reliability improvement strategies.
- Collaborate with teams to resolve reliability issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on reliability metrics.
- Optimize the Life Cycle Costs (LCCs) for all assets.
- Manage, plan, design, direct, execute, implement, integrate, and administer the RAMS system related to all assets ensuring that the maintenance methodologies are suitable to meet current and future expectations for safe, reliable and clean service.
- Investigate, diagnose, and perform failure analysis of complex engineering problems and troubleshooting to locate malfunctions and faults and recommend alternate design, procedures, equipment, materials, and related matters.
- Oversee and lead incident and investigations with regards to systems, including generating reports pertaining to an incident, including securing the necessary third-party technical specialist agencies to aid in the root cause analysis of failure.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders to resolve technical issues, project issues using sound project and engineering practices.
- Engage AtkinsRéalis Engineering Team to assist with designs, tests, investigations, troubleshooting, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Provide engineering and technical support to internal stakeholders for issues pertaining to assets to ensure the successful day-to-day and long-term operation and maintenance of systems. These support activities will include such duties as inspection, analysis, troubleshooting, reporting, and making recommendations for appropriate engineering changes where necessary. Review for adequacy the Preventive and Corrective maintenance schedules and activities required to maintain assets.
- Develop specifications, statements of work and potential contractors to support project work outside the organization’s capability. Assist in establishing and managing contracts as required.
- Investigate and review industry developments and recommend application as appropriate
- Support business case development and manage the implementation of best practice and new technology.
- Gather system data and compile reports as required to meet contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and other internal requirements as required.

- Engineering Degree and registration, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer in the Province of British Columbia and/or Province of Ontario.
- Two to three years’ experience in reliability engineering, or similar discipline.
- Proficiency in reliability analysis tools.
- Experience working on large transportation operations and maintenance projects is preferred.
- Experience in an asset management and/or maintenance role is preferred
- Experience in Project Management with Professional designation is an asset.
- A combination of education and experience may also be considered.
- Engineering experience in a field relevant to this role
- Experience and skills in using computerized systems and current software used in the Engineering field.
- Organized and methodical approach to problem solving with strong analytical skills.

- Strong skills associated with Work order (CMMS) Systems and FRACAS analysis.
