- Mentor team members and review the quality of team documents, providing guidance and feedback as needed
- Monitor deliverable dates, and escalate issues that are causing delays to project timelines
- Collaborate with RPA managers and leaders on improvements to methodology, templates, etc.
- Participate in special projects, e.g. building or implementing new tools, dashboards, etc.
- Assess potential process automation candidates with stakeholders and provide summary documentation outlining the results of these assessments
- Organize task mining initiatives and/or process walkthrough sessions to capture details of current process flows
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on automation capabilities, including RPA, AI/agentic workflows, and decision automation across platforms such as UiPath and Blue Prism
- Document future state process flows, including alternate flows and exceptions
- Create and evolve process and solution design artifacts (PDDs, solution workflows, agent interaction flows), including both deterministic and AI-driven decision points
- Organize and lead PDD review sessions with stakeholders, ensuring all process details are accurately captured and approved by the business SME
- Provide support for automation developers, including clarifying automation requirements, facilitating creation of required environment and permission configurations, etc.
- Support QA in testing larger automation initiatives, including review of test plans and facilitation of test data collection and validation; work with developers to lead the QA process for simple automation initiatives.
- Participate in pre- and post-deployment activities, e.g. UAT sessions, Go/No-Go meetings, hypercare calls, etc.
- Monitor the performance of deployed processes in production and suggest enhancements and improvements
- Assist with various operational issues, including troubleshooting production support issues, gathering and documenting change request details, etc.
- Assess and define opportunities for AI-driven and agentic automation, including use cases involving unstructured data, decision-making, and multi-step workflows.
- Design end-to-end automation solutions incorporating AI capabilities, including human-in-the-loop validation, exception handling, and decision checkpoints.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data and solution requirements, and support the lifecycle of AI-enabled automations (e.g., use case definition, testing, validation, and ongoing monitoring).
- 3 – 5 years of experience as a business systems analyst, preferably in an automation environment
- Practical understanding of AI-enabled automation, including agentic workflows, decision automation, and handling of unstructured data
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional documentation skills, including concise requirements and easy-to-follow process flow diagrams
- Ability to forge consensus within a group of stakeholders, to deliver a solution that works for all
- Knowledge of agile methodology and the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Experience working in a business automation environment
- Familiarity with AI/Agent Lifecycle and Risks associated with AI use cases.
- Strong experience and knowledge of automation tools, including UiPath, Blue Prism, Power Automate, Abbyy and other OCR solutions, chatbots, Python, etc.
- Experience with QA testing, including ability to create test plans, test cases, execute test cycles, etc.
- Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, SharePoint, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, etc.
- Exposure to AI-enabled automation tools and concepts, including UiPath Autopilot/AI Center, Copilot Studio, prompt-based workflows, and a foundational understanding of APIs and data integration to support agentic automation use cases.
