Our culture thrives by embracing diversity, encouraging innovation and creating products that serve humanity.Job Description:Validate product quality data and lab results and provide valuable information with regards to the manufacturing quality of Gerdau's steel. You will audit product testing and inspections for chemical analysis and product traceability and report defects or off specification results and report findings to the management team.Job Duties:

Maintain test equipment to ensure continual operation.
Review test results to report on Certified Test Report.
Perform stress and strain analysis tests and evaluation.
Maintenance of test equipment, calibrations and gauge R&R
Coordinate trials for new products and process
Observe and follow all general and departmental safety rules and regulations.
Support production on product disposition.
Maintain equipment, housekeeping, and apply 5S methodology in the area.
Basic understanding of ASTM and CSA standards.
Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shifts. Days, nights. If need coverage for weekend shifts.

Qualifications:

Diploma, engineering will be an asset
A minimum of two years of steel mill or related quality control experience or specific training on metallurgy or steel production
Experience with MS Office and SAP preferred
Prefer sensitive technical instruments experience
Knowledge of all applicable federal, provincial, and local environmental legal requirements and practices
Ability to work a rotating schedule including days, afternoons, nights and if needed weekends.

What Gerdau Offers You:SALARY:

Expected Wage Range $65,000-75,000*/year.

*This represents the expected hiring range and is inclusive of total compensation. This may not represent the full pay range for the position. The salary offered maybe higher than the posted range depending on several factors such as relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
