Shipping & Receiving Assistant (Part-Time)We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Assistant to support our warehouse operations and shipping/receiving activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse environments, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.Job DetailsJob Type: Part-Time
Schedule: 3 days per week(Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch break)Wage: $20 per hourEmployment Type: Temp to HireKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare shipping documentation using company computer systems and online platformsContact freight carriers to obtain freight rates and coordinate shipmentsLoad and unload products safely and efficientlyProcess incoming products in accordance with company policies and proceduresInspect incoming shipments for damage and initiate freight claims when requiredPlace received products into inventory and maintain accurate recordsPack, label, and ship product returns to vendorsParticipate in regular inventory counts and stock verificationMaintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving areaAssist customers when requiredMaintain warehouse and office workspaceAssemble and clean equipment and products as neededPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications2-3 years of warehouse and/or shipping & receiving experienceExperience coordinating freight shipments and preparing shipping documentationValid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstractForklift experience preferredMechanically inclined and comfortable using hand and power toolsStrong attention to detail and reliabilityAbility to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsWork ScheduleThis is a part-time position (3 days per week).Additional InformationFree employee parking availableConvenient bus route nearbyCompany:Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting,
