
Heavy Duty Mechanic - Transport

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGResponsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Able to diagnose and/or determine technical problems
- Able to perform regular maintenance and inspections of all equipment within the department
- Must document all repairs and parts replacement for equipment files
- Mentor apprentices
- Conduct all business in a professional, respectful manner
- Ensures all safety policies and procedures are followed
- Carry out all work in accordance with Mammoet HSE/SHE-Q and business policies and procedures, including the use of all required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Other duties as assigned by EMD supervision
- Must have sufficient training and experience in repairing of major brands of domestic tractors & trailers in Mammoet’s fleet.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Commercial Vehicle Inspection license
- Must be familiar with manufacturer diagnostic software an asset, willing to train
- Familiarity with Schuerle InterCombi / K25 trailers and SPMT an asset, willing to train
- Journeyman trade certificate (Red Seal preferred)
- Apprentices’ 2nd, 3rd and 4th year
- Minimum of 5 years work experience
- Proficient in English, written and spoken

- 30 metric ton overhead cranes through the shop
- 6 drive through bays, drive through wash bay
- Fitness/change room at facility
