We deliver medical interventions, treatments, and quality care in every corner of the Yukon. Leadership, dedication, and partnership guides our work.Your roleThis position delivers professional, Primary Care Paramedic Specialists skills in a clinic-like setting, primarily based out of the Whitehorse Emergency Shelter. The incumbent will differentially diagnose, create treatment/discharge plans and follow up care. This includes assessing patient conditions to formulate and initiate emergent and non-emergent interventions to provide optimal patient care. This position works independently, where there is limited medical support but will work with other health care providers to optimize patient care.

  • Completion of a Primary care Paramedic or Advanced Care Paramedic Program
  • Recent experience providing pre-hospital emergency and non-emergency medical treatment and transportation.
  • Experience providing care to clients and patients suffering from the effects of alcoholism and other mind-altering substances.
  • Recent experience in Naloxone administration and opioid education
  • Experience with patient care report and incident reports
