Posted by:Active: TodayThe SS is hiring a live in caregiver for an individual living with a disability. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals living with a disability, specifically seizures and behavioral intervention. You would have current First Aid certification, successfully pass a criminal records check, have a reliable vehicle, drivers license, and a clean driving record. Proof of vaccination for Covid and willingness to receive annual flu vaccinations is required. The ideal candidate will be capable of bending and lifting and be in good physical condition to perform the duties of the job. You would be responsible to assist with all aspects of personal care including toileting and showering, medication administration, and ensuring the individual enjoys activities of their preference each day. A strong understanding of, and the ability to speak and write in English, is required. The individual prefers female support workers. The position offers room and board in a large townhouse close to TRU and the successful applicant will be provided with a private bedroom, shared bathroom, meals, internet, utilities, and two weekends a month off.
