- Lead the complete establishment of the cable manufacturing function, from initial planning through to full operational execution.
- Assess, select, and commission extrusion equipment, coiling systems, quality testing instruments, and related infrastructure.
- Manage day-to-day production activities, including:Plastic extrusion ,Conductor preparation, Insulation and sheathing, Stranding, jacketing, and cutting.
- Ensure monthly production targets of 100 km or more are achieved, with scalability for increased output.
- Uphold strict quality standards in line with EV industry regulations.
- Recruit, train, and oversee operators, technicians, and quality control personnel.
- Provide technical leadership in troubleshooting, optimizing extrusion parameters, and improving processes.
- Promote a culture centered on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all products meet required electrical, mechanical, and environmental standards.
- Implement and maintain compliance with relevant certifications such as ISO, CSA, UL, and IEC.
- Coordinate product testing, inspections, and documentation for certification and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
- Minimize waste, scrap, and downtime through process enhancements.
- Lead cost optimization initiatives while maintaining product quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise in plastic extrusion processes (insulation, sheathing, and jacketing).
- Experience launching a production line from concept to full-scale operation.
- Strong knowledge of cable materials (e.g., PVC, TPE, XLPE), standards, and EV charging cable requirements.
- Proven leadership experience managing manufacturing teams.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of quality systems and workplace safety regulations.
- Background in EV cable or high-voltage cable manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies.
