You won’t be writing code day-to-day, but your engineering judgment will be critical. You’ll lead a talented team across software development and enterprise data, guiding solution design, DevOps maturity, and delivery velocity. You’ll work across modern Microsoft and Linux-based stacks, influence product direction, and ensure that engineering practices are robust, secure, and future-ready.

- Lead and oversee both software development and enterprise data services functions, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivery timelines.
- Provide technical oversight across backend development, DevOps, and data operations—ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.
- Provide oversight of electricity data acquisition hardware and ETL processes to ensure accurate, timely aggregation and submission of data to internal and external users.
- Guide solution architecture and technology direction, staying current with modern engineering practices and tools.
- Manage and mentor a team of developers and data professionals, including team leads and managers, fostering growth and accountability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define product roadmaps, estimate delivery effort, and support investment planning.
- Ensure Agile practices are followed and delivery pipelines are optimized for speed, quality, and reliability.
- Serve as a key member of the management team and provide input on overall business direction, foster a positive work culture, and strong collaboration with other functional leaders.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role, ideally with oversight of both software development and data services.
- Strong understanding of backend development principles, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to assess code quality and system architecture without direct coding responsibilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft and Linux-based technology stacks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Local to the Greater Toronto Area with the ability to work onsite in Mississauga 2–3 days per week.
