Technology is the driving force and we are the team making it happen.This role requires full-time on-site presence.The opportunityWe are looking for a Broadcast and IT Systems Specialist to support the studio, content creation, and presentation groups with technical issues as well as help implement groundbreaking technologies across our sites. From the virtualization of services to the implementation of video-over-IP and beyond, to the introduction of centralized and automated workflows, your input will impact CBC/Radio Canada across the country.Every day your hands-on knowledge, your growing expertise, your problem-solving skills and your ability to translate technical issues will be called into play as you work closely with clients facing issues with content creation, backend systems, studios and control rooms.   • The education. You have a diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Broadcast, or a related field.
  • The experience. You have a general understanding and knowledge of computers, networking, IP infrastructure and maintenance of equipment, systems and relevant software technologies. You are familiar with Windows Server Systems, MacOS and Linux.
  • The extra skills. You may have exposure to managing backend systems, databases and remote support of server systems.
  • The interest. You want to learn more about audio, video and TV & Radio Broadcast networks.
  • The communication skills. You are skilled at communicating effectively with internal partners, relaying your opinions with sensitivity. You know how to listen and you understand perspectives. You can expertly analyze and synthesize information and document technical specifications.
