By listening to patients and partners, we strive to connect communities to the right care, at the right place, and at the right time.POSITION VACANCY: Pharmacy- Health Care Centre PharmacyPOSITION: Temporary Full-Time Pharmacist (Non union) Approximately November 1, 2025 Until January 31, 2026HOURS OF WORK: SHIFTS WILL BE 8H IN DURATION AND WILL BE DURING THESE TIMES MON-FRI: 8AM-4PMPOSITION SUMMARY: The Health Care Centre Pharmacy is the retail pharmacy located in and owned by Waterloo Regional Health Network. The position offers a unique professional opportunity to work with a multi-disciplinary health care team in the provision of pharmaceutical care to community clients. Patient safety is one of our primary objectives. In addition, services are provided to outpatients of the Hospital’s specialty clinics and the Regional Cancer Centre. The Health Care Centre Pharmacy embraces the enhanced scope of practice for pharmacists and is actively integrating regulated pharmacy technicians into daily practice.POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor degree in Pharmacy
  • Current pharmacist license with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, Part A of the Register
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in pharmacy practice
  • Must be injection certified.
  • Willingness to incorporate all aspects of the expanded pharmacist’s scope of practice
  • The successful candidate will be equipped with excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and demonstrated initiative
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
  • Proven good attendance record
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • McKesson PTS experience preferred – but not essential
