Classification: Immediate Hire, 4-month contract - could lead to permanent full timeAutoCanada is seeking a motivated Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in payroll. The successful candidate will assist in processing payroll accurately and on time for multiple locations across Canada, ensure compliance with Canadian payroll legislation, and support day-today- payroll operations.What drives your day-to-day?
- Assist in processing weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for 500-1000 employees across multiple provinces and locations in compliance with federal and provincial regulations
- Maintain and update employee payroll records and data in payroll systems
- Respond to payroll inquiries regarding payroll, benefits and taxes
- Assist with year-end processes including T4 preparation and ROEs
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll and personnel information
- Assist with onboarding new employees
- Basic understanding of Canadian payroll regulations and standards
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role
- 1 – 3 years Canadian payroll experience
- PCP (Payroll Compliance Professional) designation, or working towards, is preferred
- Accurate and timely payroll processing
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and payroll data
- Employee records management
- Respond to payroll related inquiries
