Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?GRMI is hiring an actuarial analyst that supports actuaries in analyzing financial risk including month-end reporting and experience study. They assist with data collection, risk assessment, and financial modeling, contributing to tasks like calculating insurance premiums, analyzing statistical trends, and preparing reports. Interns gain practical experience, learn industry tools, and develop a deeper understanding of actuarial concepts.What will you do?
  • Data Analysis and Management: Interns gather, clean, and analyze data from various sources, often using tools like
, R, SQL, or Axis. * Risk Assessment: They help assess potential risks and uncertainties associated with insurance products or financial instruments.
  • Financial Modeling: Interns may assist in building and maintaining mathematical models to predict future financial outcomes and evaluate risk.
  • Report Preparation: They prepare reports summarizing their findings and analyses for review by senior actuaries.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Interns collaborate with project teams and communicate their findings to stakeholders, potentially including underwriting or other departments.
What do you need to succeed?Must-Haves:
  • Analytical and Mathematical Proficiency: Strong aptitude for mathematics, statistics, and data analysis.
