
Ultrasonographer - Ultrasound

- Operating, troubleshooting and ensuring that medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner
- Preparing written and electronic reports required to document all procedures and test results
- Maintaining high standards of practice and excellence in imaging quality and patient care
- Assisting in data processing
- Responsible for attending teaching, training, educational, research, safety and quality improvement programs/activities and other meetings as required
- Participates in research, the safety and education of patients, and staff and students observing
- Understands Hospital and departmental policies and procedures to provide input for designing imaging policies and procedures that will result in improvements in technical quality
- Adhering to Hospital and departmental mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Performing cross-functional responsibilities as assigned, or requested
- Performing other duties related to the job classification, as required.
- Completion of a recognized degree/diploma Ultrasound program required
- Current registration with the CMRITO required
- Completion of a BCLS program, Level II: Basic Rescuer certification required
- One (1) year recent related experience required
- Contrast injection course preferred
- Excellent problem recognition and problem-solving skills
- Effective time management skills; ability to organize work and set priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as a team member, as well as the ability to work as an autonomous professional
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment at all sites
- Must be computer literate, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
- Must be able to cover all shifts as required
- Professional behavior and communication that meets the standards of the professional regulatory college or association, as applicable, and the standards of Women’s College Hospital
