- Identifier de nouvelles opportunités d’acquisition alignées avec les objectifs de croissance de Valsoft, en visant plus de 200 M$ de revenus potentiellement achetables par trimestre
- Effectuer des démarches proactives auprès des propriétaires d’entreprises de logiciels, des courtiers et des conseillers (appels à froid, courriels, réseautage)
- Mener des appels exploratoires et établir des relations durables avec les décideurs
- Évaluer les entreprises selon les critères d’acquisition de Valsoft et diriger les discussions de valorisation
- Gérer la diligence raisonnable avant l’acquisition, y compris l’analyse financière, commerciale et opérationnelle en collaboration avec notre équipe basée à Montréal
- Superviser, encadrer et soutenir les associés en F&A ainsi que les stagiaires impliqués dans les projets d’acquisition
- Négocier la structure et les conditions des transactions avec le soutien du partenaire en investissement
- Finaliser des acquisitions représentant 15 à 20 M$ de revenus annuels
- Appuyer le transfert et l’intégration post-acquisition
- Voyager selon les besoins (jusqu’à 25 %) pour rencontrer les propriétaires et partenaires
- Diplôme universitaire en finance, comptabilité, génie ou tout autre domaine quantitatif
- 3 à 5 ans d’expérience en banque d’investissement, capital-investissement, F&A ou développement corporatif
- Compétences poussées en analyse financière et en modélisation
- Excellent sens du développement des affaires et grande capacité de communication interpersonnelle
- Capacité à travailler de manière autonome dans un environnement rapide et international
- Esprit de croissance avec un fort désir d’apprendre dans divers secteurs
- Désignation CFA ou CIIA (un atout)
- Expérience avec des logiciels de marché vertical (VMS) ou avec un modèle de type "buy and build" (un atout)

In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and executing software acquisitions across diverse verticals, working end-to-end from origination to close.You will be a full-cycle M&A professional with the charisma and salesmanship to engage business owners and brokers, coupled with the analytical and financial expertise to execute due diligence and close deals. This role offers a unique opportunity to invest large amounts of capital quickly — and the platform to eventually build, grow, and lead your own M&A team.If you're driven by deals, energized by entrepreneurship, and want to join one of the most acquisitive software companies in the world, this could be the perfect role for you.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify M&A targets that align with Valsoft's growth objectives, aiming to generate $200M+ in buyable revenue opportunities per quarter.
- Employ a proactive approach, reaching out to potential targets through various channels, conducting exploratory calls, and fostering relationships with owners and sell-side advisors.
- Evaluate and assess target acquisitions against Valsoft's criteria, and determine realistic valuation expectations.
- Conduct a comprehensive pre-acquisition due diligence encompassing both commercial and financial aspects in collaboration with the Montreal team.
- Negotiate deal terms, ultimately aiming to achieve $15-20M per year in acquired revenues with the support of the Investment Partner.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Supervise, mentor, and support M&A Associates and Interns involved in deal execution and pipeline development
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or another quantitative field
- 3–5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, M&A, or corporate development
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
- Exceptional business development instincts and interpersonal communication
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, globally distributed team
- Growth mindset with a strong desire to learn across sectors
- CFA or CIIA designation is an asset
- Experience with vertical market software (VMS) or buy-and-build models is a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build operations in new regions
