By joining our team, you will be immersed in a dynamic and thought-provoking environment that tests your capabilities and pushes you to new heights.Gastronomous is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will be a central part of our core engineering team.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop concepts, detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, and documentation.
  • Conduct tolerance stack-ups, DFMEA, and design reviews to ensure robustness and reliability.
  • Select appropriate materials, fabrication methods, and off-the-shelf components.
  • Troubleshoot failures, perform root-cause analysis, and iterate designs to resolve issues.
  • Work hands-on to build prototypes, test rigs, and experimental setups.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, and vendors to transition designs into production.
  • Support DFM/DFA efforts, BOM creation, cost optimization, and supplier qualification.
  • Provide engineering support during pilot builds, field deployments, and scale-up runs.
  • Work closely with electrical, firmware, controls, and software teams to integrate hardware and robotics systems.
  • Support installation, deployment, and on-site troubleshooting when needed.
Requirements:
  • 5–10+ years of experience in mechanical design, robotics, automation, electromechanical systems, or related fields.
  • Expert proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks). • Strong understanding of mechanisms, motion systems, actuation, and heat transfer.
  • Experience with DFM/DFA and designing for production in low- to mid-volume manufacturing.
  • Hands-on prototyping and testing skills (machining, 3D printing, assembly, etc.).
  • Experience working with vendors, fabricators, and contract manufacturers.
  • Proven ability to lead complex mechanical projects from concept to deployment.
  • Knowledge of control systems, sensors, motors, pneumatics, and electromechanical integration.
  • Experience in reliability engineering or designing for harsh, high-throughput environments.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating innovative robotics solutions
