As part of a multidisciplinary team, all your skills will be called upon.   • Assist engineers in tasks related to the design of drawings and specifications using CAD development tools for structural construction or rehabilitation projects (bridges, overpasses, buildings)
  • Ensure that drawings and specifications are compliant with guidelines, codes and other regulations
  • Prepare quantity estimates and calculations for materials required to carry out projects
  • Visit construction sites to carry out necessary surveys for the production of drawings and specifications
  • Participate in the design for the rehabilitation of bridges and other road structures, and buildings
  • Participate in on-site construction work supervision (technical support)
  • Carry out all other related tasks supporting project delivery
Qualifications
  • Diploma of college studies (DCS) in civil engineering or equivalent training
  • At least three years of relevant experience related to structural engineering
  • Training proof from ASP Construction for health and safety on construction sites
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD software
  • Excellent French communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Successful completion of the MTQ training on structural construction and repair (an asset)
  • Knowledge of the MTQ standards (an asset)
  • Knowledge and experience using Power Inroads and Micro-Station software (an important asset)
  • Experience in the consulting engineering industry (an asset)
